Burglaries, Uttoxeter 30th January 2026 |

Overnight in the Stramshall and Rocester areas there have been three burglaries, firstly, in the Vicarage Drive area of Stramshall, a residence was broken into where the a grey BMW has been stolen. The number plates were switched immediately. It is believed the offenders were in the village between 0200am and 0400am, this burglary happened at 0334am. Offenders gained entry via the rear door and stole the car keys. Secondly, in the Barnwell Close area of the village, offenders attempted to break into a residence, via the rear door, but thankfully were unsuccessful, it is believed this occurred at 0200am. Thirdly, a residence in the Edes Farm Drive area of Rocester was broken into also overnight. Entry was gained but it appears that nothing was stolen. Our Officers and Forensic teams are working diligently to gather information and extensive CCTV and house to house will be done today. Some good information has already been gathered. Do you have CCTV ? Ring Doorbell ? in the above areas ? Please check if you have, from approx 0130am to 0430am, any information gained maybe they key to resolving these crimes, although initial enquiries are going well. We are also trying to identify the vehicle the offenders would have been using to approach the villages. If you have any CCTV or ring doorbell footage of any vehicle in the stated areas and times, please let us know as soon as possible.
Please be assured, we are doing our very best to resolve this spate of burglaries overnight, please do everything you can to secure your vehicles and valuables, never leave valuables in your vehicles, ensure your car keys are secure in your home, never leave housekeys near your doors etc. Crime levels in this area are very low, and these burglaries will be investigated to the best of our abilities, hopefully leading to a positive conclusion.
